ACMH (Association for Children’s Mental Health) is an advocacy and educational group comprised of parents of youngsters with emotional illness. For more information check out their website at www.autism-mi.org CHADD (Children and Adults with Psychiatric Disorders) Provides science based, evidence based information about attention deficit hyperactivity disorder to parents, educators, professionals, media and the general public. Easter Seals - Michigan feels strongly that persons receiving treatment services also need to build their own personal network of resources outside of treatment. In Person Centered Planning, we encourage clients to identify those in their lives who play an integral role and on whom they can count when the client needs extra support. Additionally, the following is a brief list of community resources for those who may need some specialized support when working with the child’s school district on creating a service plan. Using this search engine, a person can find therapeutic resources throughout Oakland County cross-referenced by area of concern, diagnosis, services provided and ages served. OCAP (Oakland County Council for Children and Adults with Psychiatric Disabilities) is an advocacy and educational group comprised of consumers, secondary consumers, advocates, interested community members and mental health professionals. OCAP identifies mental health needs in the community and advocates or works directly to see the needs are met.
