“Walkway of Champions” Unveiled to the Public
Easter Seals Michigan President and CEO, Brent Wirth wlecoming attendees at the official opening of the "Walkway of Champions" On October 18th 2012, the Easter Seals Michigan’s “Walkway of Champions” was officially opened. This addition to the Roger and Doris McCarville Family Center in Auburn Hills was three years in the making, and much like the mission of Easter Seals Michigan, it will continue to grow. A variety of community leaders, service recipients and their families were in attendance to see their brick become part of the entranceway to the building, guiding the way for others towards the service and support that Easter Seals Michigan offers. If you would like to purchase a brick and become part of the “Walkway of Champions” please click here for an order form.
The John Bowman Tree Memorial Brent Wirth and the Bowman Family (L-R: Katie Bowman Coleman, Brent Wirth, Sharon Bowman, Mimi Bowman Ridling, Karen Bowman Williams) The event also included a memorial to recognize the charitable efforts of long-time Easter Seals Michigan supporter, John Bowman, who passed away in May of this year. Many members of Mr. Bowman’s family were in attendance for the tribute that included a memorial plaque and tree planting in his honor. The tree is now part of the Auburn Hills location and will serve as a permanent reminder of an amazing man and his contributions to the community.
