Casework Supervisor This position is located in Southfield. Job Duties: Engages clients and families in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of stage of readiness and phase of treatment. Assigns and supervises the caseload of professional staff engaged in treatment and case management services for individuals and their families with psychiatric and/or COD- substance use disorders. Reviews cases to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services rendered. Conducts staff meetings to review problem areas and plan solutions. Assists staff in improving and updating professional skills by providing them with information such as pertinent conferences and seminars, new techniques in the field and current and pending legislation affecting mental health services. Orients and trains new staff. Monitors case records, including the follow‑up and referral of clients to community agencies to aid in an accurate history. Screen for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Implement integrated strength based assessments to assess the presence, onset, symptoms and patterns of substance use, behavioral and psychiatric disorders. Assess for acute needs and risk and provide/arrange for appropriate stage wise intervention. In the presence of two disorders, evaluation will be made of the interaction between the two, as well as the relationship of each to significant life events. Job Qualifications: Must possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social work, psychology, or related human service area. Have the appropriate licensure in Social Work, Professional Counseling or Psychology. Have had at least two (3) years of full-time casework experience including 1 year in a leadership role. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator or chauffeur's license. Donor Stewardship Manager This is a full time position located in the Waterford Office.Job Duties: Develop and implement a comprehensive plan that will provide an appropriate level of stewardship for all donors including a calendar. Provide a baseline of stewardship reports, according to the plan and calendar, letting all restricted and unrestricted donors know how their gifts have made a difference. Assist in the identification and cultivation of annual and major donors. Champion key mission-based fundraising events as assigned. Coordinate special programs (e.g., brick sales) and events, and solicitation of sponsorships and acknowledgement of donor gifts. Enter data and maintain accuracy of donor records using the Raiser’s Edge database (training provided). Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree + 10 years professional work experience. Minimum of 5 years nonprofit and/or volunteer experience. Demonstrated experience in marketing and relationship building. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends Speech and Language Therapist Easter Seals Michigan is currently seeking a Master’s Level Speech Therapist with their CCC’s to provide speech therapy services to the Autism Collaborative Center in Ypsilanti. Job Duties: The Speech/Language Therapist will be part of a team to provide services to families and individual clients in the areas of expressive and receptive language, communication skills, assistive technology, social skills, early reading skills, and promote other developmental abilities. The therapist will also be part of a multidisciplinary evaluation team, provide community consultation, and overall general support to each family centered plan. Speech/Language student supervision will also be provided. Job Qualifications: Must possess a Masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy and be certified in the state of Michigan as a Speech Therapist Occupational Therapist This is a full time position that will provide Occupation Therapy Services to the Autism Collaborative Center in Ypsilanti. Job Duties: The Occupational Therapist will be part of a team to provide services to families and individual clients in the areas of self care, fine and gross motor development, sensory integration, assistive technology, play, and promote other developmental abilities. The therapist will also be part of a multidisciplinary evaluation team, provide community consultation, and overall general support to each family centered plan. Occupational Therapy student supervision will also be provided Familiarity with Sensory Integration approach is a plus. Job Qualifications: Must possess a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy and be certified in the state of Michigan as an Occupational Therapist. Psychologist This is a part time position located in Ypsilanti. Job Duties: This individual will run groups, conduct assessments, and provide therapeutic services for the Autism Collaboration center. The Psychologist will provide psychological services to families and individual clients such as individual and family counseling, learning support, behavioral intervention, and will support other developmental abilities. The psychologist will also be part of a multidisciplinary evaluation team, provide community consultation, and overall general support to each family centered plan. Job Qualifications: Possess a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling; AND have an LLP. Bi-Lingual Psychiatrist Easter Seals Michigan is currently looking for a part time, bi-lingual psychiatrist. Must be able to read, write, and speak English AND Spanish. Job Duties: Provides psychiatric and medical services to children and/or adults served by programs of Easter Seals. Performs biological and psychosocial assessments including psychiatric evaluation, annual psychiatric assessment, physical assessment, and referral. Makes diagnoses and develops recommendations regarding treatment. Provides for the review and monitoring of consumer medication plans. Provides crisis evaluation of children and/or adults who may be in need of hospitalization or who may need medication to avoid hospitalization. Provides certification for the involuntary commitment and hospitalization of adult mental health consumers. Provides clinical supervision and consultation to clinical staff for quality, efficient and cost effective coordination of treatment, continuing care, and support services. Participates in court proceedings to provide testimony regarding mental health of consumers as needed. Prepares reports and documentation relative to direct services rendered and team activities. Functions as the team leader in weekly team meetings with clinical staff to develop diagnoses and make recommendations regarding treatment. Reviews consumer treatment charts prepared by clinical staff to determine if treatment goals are being met. Participates in utilization review for monitoring of services and quality assurance. Acts as a liaison with court and other community agencies for purposes of consultation and referral. May be required to provide on-call assistance on a rotational basis. Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with Medicaid and Department of Community Health guidelines, as well as Easter Seals policies and procedures. Responsible for authorizing medically necessary services for all consumers. Job Qualifications: Possess a license to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine and surgery in the State of Michigan. Be certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or eligible for certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Be licensed by the Michigan Board of Pharmacy to prescribe medicine. Be registered with the Drug Enforcement Administration to prescribe controlled substances. Have at least one (1) year of psychiatric experience working with children and/or adults in a mental health, clinic, program, or correctional facility. Must possess a knowledge and understanding of co-occurring disorders (mental health & substance abuse). Able to read, write, and speak English AND Spanish. Case Management Coordinator This is a Full-Time Position located in our Southfield facility. Job Functions: Assesses and evaluates the needs of clients and continues caseload contact to develop goals. Assists clients in developing appropriate program plans to meet identified needs. Completes referral forms, clinical and legal documentation necessary to obtain community based services for clients. Advocates for new services as needed. Seeks out and develops community resources to meet the needs of assigned clients for activities and support services. Provides services and supports to ensure that productivity standards are maintained at 60% for direct and indirect services to clients. Provides case management services for clients, families and/or guardians for support, rehabilitation and/or crisis intervention purposes. Monitors and evaluates living situations, school and/or program placements of clients to determine consistency of treatment and progress. Assists in commitment procedures when necessary as well as voluntary admissions. Attends team meetings to review problems and plan solutions. Ensures that discharge planning activities are performed within the 72 hour requirement for clients being released from a hospital setting. Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with Medicaid and Department of Community Health guidelines, as well as Easter Seals policies and procedures. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Medicaid Chapter III. Travels extensively to various locations throughout Oakland County to assess and evaluate the needs of clients and develop program goals. Responsible for authorizing medically necessary services for all consumers. Job Qualifications: Must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Psychology, Social Work, or related mental health field. Have had at least one (1) year of full‑time work experience providing case management in a mental health setting. NOTE:A Master's degree in one of the fields listed above may be substituted for one (1) year of the work experience described above. Be an LBSW with the State of Michigan Preferred. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license. Must possess a knowledge and understanding of co-occurring disorders (mental health & substance abuse). Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Mental Health Clinician Homebased - These positions are located in Oakland County. The Job Functions of the position are as follows: This position is responsible for direct and indirect home-based treatment services for children and families with mental illness. Provides individual, group, conjoint or family psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their family. Conducts clinical assessments, develops diagnoses, and participates in developing person/family centered treatment plans with client families. Monitors client progress and coordinates appropriate mental health and other needed services. Responsible for maintaining an electronic and paper chart which includes required documentation of services provided, progress notes, treatment plans, periodic reviews and client rights documents. Participates in individual supervision and team meetings to review progress, identify barriers and develop strategies for better assisting families in reaching their goals. Participate in utilization review committee meetings for the purpose of reviewing case records for contract compliancy, quality assurance, appropriateness of services and treatment progress. Provides 24/7 crisis intervention availability to help offset potential risk of self-harm or conditions which could lead to out of home placement. Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with Medicaid and Department of Community Health guidelines, as well as Easter Seals policies and procedures. Responsible for authorizing medically necessary services for all consumers. The Job Requirements are as follows: Applicant must possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Psychology, Social Work or other mental health area. Have an LMSW or LLMSW from the Michigan Board of Examiners of Social Workers, have a license as a professional counselor from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services, or have a temporary limited license or limited license as a Psychologist from the Michigan Board of Examiners of Psychologists. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator or chauffeur's license. Must maintain 24 documented training hours relative to Child Diagnostic Treatment Services annually (within any 12-month period). Must possess knowledge and have an understanding of co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance abuse). Peer Support Specialist - Job Duties: Promotes and participates in activities that enhance consumer recovery. Attends team meetings and receives assignments from supervisor, team leader or designee. Promotes client decision-making and participates in the Easter Seals person-centered planning process. Attends agency in-services including First Aid/CPR, Therapeutic Crisis Management, Diversity, Infectious Disease and other relevant topics. Reports and documents service activity according to Easter Seals’ Operations Manual, Medicaid Provider Manual and Michigan Mental Health Code. Job Qualifications: Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist or eligible for certification as a Peer Support Specialist. High School diploma or equivalent.
