 Providing services throughout the life spectrum for people with disabilities and their families

Children and adults with mental and physical disabilities and other special needs find proven, best practice services designed to meet their individual needs when they come to Easter Seals Michigan.  Health professionals from a variety of disciplines work with each person to overcome obstacles to independence, and to reach his/her personal goals through person centered planning.  Please click on the links below for a more detailed explanation of each program.

AgrAbility:  Statewide program offered in partnership with Michigan State University Extension, Michigan Farm Bureau, Michigan Rehabilitation Services, and UCP to provide assessment and linkage to sources for adaptive equipment for farmers who have an injury, disability or illness and need accommodations to continue farming.

Children's Health Services:  A variety of early intervention therapeutic services offered statewide for children with autism, speech and language delays, emotional, motor and social skill issues, as well as sensory integrative dysfunction. 

Services for Adults with Developmental Disabilities:  Easter Seals Michigan offers services at our Flint location for adults with developmental disabilities.  For more information on programming for children with developmental disabilities, click on Children’s Therapy.

Mental Health Services:  Easter Seals Michigan offers a variety of mental health services in Oakland and Genesee counties serving all from “twinkle to wrinkle”:

Adult Mental Health Services
Committed to helping individuals deal effectively with serious mental illness, to support their recovery and to assist them in pursuit of meaningful and satisfying lives, Easter Seals Adult Mental Health provides a continuum of person centered mental health services for adults with serious and persistent mental illness over age 18 in Oakland County.

Collaborative Solutions
Mental health services for Oakland County residents who have some type of current legal involvement such as probation or parole, as well as diversion from jail into treatment for those who have committed non violent misdemeanors.

Family Mental Health
Provides comprehensive, multi-faceted, community based mental health services for families with children from birth through 18 years of age in Oakland County and Genesee County. 

Services in Spanish and Russian
Easter Seals Michigan offers Oakland County individuals and families a full continuum of culturally competent mental health services in English and Spanish.

Older Adult Services
Occupational therapy based programs offered in greater Grand Rapids to promote a healthy lifestyle, independence and provide support for those over age 65.
